Atividade 2. Escolha o verbo certo

Atividade 3. Presente vira passado
a) He said he lived in Cork. b) He said he needed a visa. c) He said his train left at six. d) He said he was learning Spanish. Os verbos recuam um passo e “my” vira “his”.
Atividade 4. Relacione as frases
a-4; b-2; c-1; d-3. can → could, will → would, present continuous → past continuous, present simple → past simple.

Modelo: The building manager said the water would be cut off the next day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. He asked everyone to store some water that day. Verifique: informação completa (dia, horário, pedido) e recuo correto.
Atividade 18. Quando não recuar
a) Pode ficar no presente: é um fato permanente, sempre verdadeiro. b) Precisa de verbo no passado: o evento aconteceu e terminou.
Atividade 19. Resumo de reunião
Modelo: Caio said he would send the budget on Friday. Isadora asked whether the client had approved the plan. Mr. Hill asked us not to book meetings on Friday. Verifique: tempos recuados, whether/if, not to.
Atividade 20. Diálogo completo
Modelo: The agent asked Thiago what he did, and he said he worked as a nurse in Recife. She asked whether he had lived abroad. He answered that he hadn’t, but that he would move to Toronto the following month. Verifique: recuo, if/whether, marca de tempo.
