Esta lección te da el vocabulario científico y ético para presentar ventajas y riesgos, y estructuras formales para opinar: It is essential that…, whether or not…, ought to.
- It is essential that + sujeto + verbo en presente es una estructura formal, sin «should» obligatorio.
- Ought to equivale a should pero más formal: it ought to be banned.
- Para equilibrar: On the one hand… on the other hand…
- Whether or not introduce una duda: whether or not it is safe.

Preguntas frecuentes
¿Cuál es la diferencia entre «should» y «ought to»?
Son casi iguales. Ought to suena más formal y lleva to (it ought to be banned). En negativas se usa should not; ought not to es poco frecuente.
