Estructuras: the last time + pasado simple, be allowed to y modal de posibilidad en pasado.
1 last time I saw, 2 are not allowed to smoke, 3 might have missed
Ejercicio 6. Colocaciones y verbos con partícula
Cada verbo con partícula tiene un significado propio: entrar en vigor, investigar, tener éxito, superar, cancelar.

Errores de verbo, preposición y sustantivo incontable.

Ejercicio 16. Mediación: aviso de examen
Modelo: The speaking test will take place on Saturday, March 14, in room 3. You need to arrive twenty minutes early and bring your original ID card or passport. Mobile phones are not allowed in the room. If you cannot attend, you must tell them in writing at least 48 hours beforehand.
Comprueba: fecha en formato estadounidense, los cuatro datos del aviso, ninguna palabra traducida literalmente (sala = room, no saloon).
Ejercicio 17. Introducción de un essay
Modelo: Traffic congestion is a daily headache in most large cities, and a growing number of residents believe that private vehicles should be excluded from central areas altogether. While such a ban would undoubtedly cut pollution, I would argue that it can only succeed if reliable public transport is already in place.
Comprueba: parafraseo, postura clara, conector de contraste, registro formal, sin contracciones.
Ejercicio 18. Comparar dos fotografías
Modelo: Both pictures show people studying, but the atmosphere is very different. In the first one, three students are sharing a table, so they can probably help each other, whereas in the second a person is working alone at home, which might be quieter but also lonelier. I suppose the group could be more motivating, though they may also be easily distracted. Personally, I think studying with others matters most when you are stuck on a difficult topic, because explaining it aloud helps you understand it. On the other hand, revising alone gives you time to concentrate.
Ejercicio 20. Reseña breve
Modelo: The Last Ferry: a quiet gem. The Last Ferry follows two sisters who return to a remote island off New Zealand to sell their late grandfather’s house. What begins as a practical task soon becomes a reckoning with old resentments. The cinematography is outstanding: every shot of the grey sea and the empty pier feels carefully painted. Unfortunately, the ending is rather predictable, and a few conversations drag on longer than necessary. Even so, the two leading actresses deliver performances of real sensitivity. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys slow, reflective cinema, though viewers who prefer action should look elsewhere.
Comprueba: título, descripción breve, opinión equilibrada, recomendación final, adjetivos variados.
