Le contrôle souhait et regret

Exercice 1 : Compléter les phrases (3 points)

Compléter chaque phrase avec la forme verbale qui convient, à partir du verbe entre parenthèses.

1. I wish I ______ (know) the answer now.

2. If only she ______ (not / lose) her passport yesterday.

3. I wish he ______ (stop) shouting every morning.

4. They wish they ______ (can) swim.

5. I’d rather you ______ (not / tell) anyone tomorrow.

6. We wish we ______ (take) the earlier train last night.

Exercice 2 : Choix de la bonne forme (3 points)

Entourer la forme correcte dans chaque phrase et recopier la phrase.

1. I wish I (am / were / would be) taller.

2. If only they (listened / had listened / would listen) to the doctor last year.

3. I’d rather (go / to go / going) alone.

4. She wishes it (will stop / stopped / would stop) raining right now.

5. I’d rather you (don’t / didn’t / wouldn’t) smoke here.

6. He wishes he (didn’t buy / hadn’t bought / wouldn’t buy) that old car.

Exercice 3 : Réécrire avec wish (4 points)

Transformer chaque situation en phrase exprimant un regret ou un souhait, en commençant par les mots donnés.

1. I live far from the sea. I wish …

Exercice 4 : Compréhension d’un message (4 points)

Dear Sam,

I wish you were here! The weather is awful and I’d rather be at home. If only we had booked the hotel by the sea, as you suggested. Instead, we’re in the mountains and it hasn’t stopped snowing. Mum wishes she hadn’t forgotten her boots, and Dad wishes the guide would stop telling the same jokes. I’d rather you didn’t mention this to Gran: she’ll worry.

Corriger l’erreur dans chaque phrase en réécrivant la phrase entière.

Exercice 6 : Traduction (3 points)

Traduire en anglais.
