Last October, Maya set off alone to climb a hill in the Lake District. The forecast was uncertain, but she ignored it and left her waterproof jacket in the car. By noon the mist had swallowed the path and she realised she had taken a wrong turn.
Hours later, a farmer found her, cold and exhausted. “You could have been in real trouble,” he said. “Nobody knew where you were.” Maya had not even told her sister. “I should have checked the weather,” she admitted. “And I needn’t have been so proud: a guide would have cost very little.”
- What did Maya do before leaving that she should not have done?
- What happened around noon?
- What does the farmer mean by “You could have been in real trouble”?
- What two regrets does Maya express at the end?
Écrire un paragraphe de 60 à 80 mots sur une occasion manquée, en employant au moins trois modaux du passé différents.
