Correction de l’exercice 1 : Description (4 points)1 point par réponse. 1. A giant mobile phone with a human face. 2. A long chain attached to a giant phone. 3. It says ‘Connected.’ 4. An empty park bench and a dead tree.
Réponses modèles. 1 (2 points). The phone is huge and the people are tiny, which shows how much power technology has over them. 2 (2 points). The caption says ‘Connected’, but the people are chained and alone, so connection really means isolation. 3 (1 point). The cartoonist warns that we are becoming slaves to our screens and neglecting real life.
1 point par réponse. 1. A flood. 2. He looks straight at us, so the reader feels directly involved. 3. It suggests that children’s education and normal life have been interrupted. 4. Compassion and concern.

Total : 20 points. Au-dessus de 14, l’analyse d’image est maîtrisée ; entre 10 et 14, revoir la différence entre décrire et interpréter ; sous 10, reprendre le vocabulaire de l’image. Erreurs fréquentes : décrire sans analyser, oublier de dégager le message de l’auteur, ne pas comparer vraiment les documents.
