Pluriel des noms : exercices pour passer du singulier au pluriel sans te tromper. Règle générale, terminaisons spéciales, irréguliers, prononciation et accord du verbe : tout y passe, du plus facile au plus difficile.

Les exercices

Avant de commencer, relis le tableau des irréguliers du cours.

Pluriel des noms : exercices progressifs

Exercice 1 : ajoute -s

Écris le pluriel de ces noms.

  1. a dog
  2. a pen
  3. a girl
  4. a tree
  5. a toy
  6. a key
Exercice 2 : -s ou -es ?

Écris le pluriel. Attention aux terminaisons sifflantes.

  1. a bus
  2. a box
  3. a watch
  4. a brush
  5. a glass
  6. a tomato
  7. a photo
Exercice 3 : -s ou -ies ?

Écris le pluriel. Regarde bien la lettre devant le y.

  1. a baby
  2. a boy
  3. a city
  4. a day
  5. a party
  6. a family
Exercice 4 : les noms en -f et -fe

Complète avec le pluriel du nom entre parenthèses.

  1. In autumn, the (leaf) ___ are red and yellow.
  2. Put the (knife) ___ on the table.
  3. There are three (wolf) ___ in the forest.
  4. Cut the apple into two (half) ___.
  5. The farmers and their (wife) ___ are at the market.
Exercice 5 : les irréguliers

Associe chaque singulier à son pluriel : children – feet – men – mice – people – teeth – women.

Exercice 6 : mets la phrase au pluriel

Réécris chaque phrase au pluriel. Attention au verbe !

  1. The child is in the garden.
  2. The baby is sleeping.
  3. The box is heavy.
  4. The man is tall.
  5. The mouse is grey.
  6. The person is nice.
Exercice 7 : /s/, /z/ ou /ɪz/ ?

Classe ces pluriels selon la prononciation du -s final.

  1. cats
  2. dogs
  3. buses
  4. books
  5. pens
  6. watches
Exercice 8 : corrige les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la correctement.

  1. I’ve got two babys.
  2. The childrens are playing.
  3. My foots are cold.
  4. The people is happy.
  5. I’ve got three blacks cats.
  6. There are two knifes on the table.
Exercice 9 : à la ferme

Lis le texte puis réponds aux questions en anglais.

Welcome to Sunny Farm! There are twenty sheep, six cows and four horses. In the barn, there are a lot of mice, so we’ve got three cats. In the pond, there are ten fish and five ducks. Every Saturday, families visit the farm. The children love the baby goats. Last Saturday, there were forty people!

  1. How many sheep are there?
  2. Why have they got three cats?
  3. How many fish are there in the pond?
  4. Who visits the farm every Saturday?
  5. What do the children love?
  6. Trouve dans le texte quatre pluriels irréguliers ou invariables.
Exercice 10 : traduis en anglais

Traduis ces groupes de mots et ces phrases.

  1. trois enfants
  2. deux souris blanches
  3. des dents
  4. quatre villes
  5. Les femmes sont grandes.
  6. Les gens sont gentils.
Exercice 11 : décris ta chambre

Écris cinq phrases sur ta chambre ou ta classe avec There are + un nombre + un nom au pluriel. Utilise au moins un nom en -es et un nom irrégulier.
