Exercices present perfect : du bilan à la durée

Exercice 1 : Participes passés

Mettez le verbe au present perfect simple.

  1. I (break) ___ my phone screen.
  2. She (choose) ___ her university.
  3. We (never / ride) ___ a horse.
  4. They (just / win) ___ the match.
  5. He (already / spend) ___ all his pocket money.
  6. (you / ever / swim) ___ in the ocean?
  7. The team (not / score) ___ yet.
Exercice 2 : For ou since ?

Complétez avec for ou since.

  1. I’ve known Jake ___ primary school.
  2. They’ve been arguing ___ hours.
  3. She’s lived in Leeds ___ 2019.
  4. We haven’t had a holiday ___ ages.
  5. He’s been feeling sick ___ he ate those mussels.
  6. The shop has been closed ___ last Monday.
  7. I’ve been studying ___ three hours.
  8. Nobody has called ___ this morning.
Exercice 3 : Bilan ou activité ?

Choisissez la forme correcte.

  1. I (have written / have been writing) five emails this morning.
  2. I (have written / have been writing) emails all morning.
  3. She (has known / has been knowing) him for ten years.
  4. Your face is red. (Have you sunbathed / Have you been sunbathing)?
  5. They (have visited / have been visiting) twelve countries so far.
  6. How long (have you waited / have you been waiting) for me?
Exercice 4 : Present perfect ou prétérit ?

Mettez le verbe au temps qui convient.

  1. I (see) ___ that documentary last week.
  2. I (see) ___ that documentary three times.
  3. When (you / move) ___ to Lille?
  4. How long (you / live) ___ in Lille?
  5. She (leave) ___ school two years ago.
  6. Look! Someone (steal) ___ my bike!
  7. Shakespeare (write) ___ 37 plays.
  8. My sister (write) ___ two short stories so far.
Exercice 5 : Poser la question

Posez la question portant sur la partie soulignée entre crochets, avec How long ou une autre question au present perfect.

  1. She has been training [for six months].
  2. They have lived in Wales [since 2015].
  3. He has seen the film [twice].
  4. I have been waiting [for twenty minutes].
  5. We have known each other [since kindergarten].
Exercice 6 : Réécrire avec since ou for

Réécrivez chaque phrase avec le present perfect, en gardant le sens.

  1. I started learning Spanish three years ago. → I have ___
  2. It started snowing at midnight. → It has ___
  3. The last time I saw Mia was in June. → I haven’t ___
  4. She bought this car in 2018. → She has ___
  5. We started waiting an hour ago. → We have ___
  6. The last time he cooked was months ago. → It’s months ___
Exercice 7 : Traduction FR → EN

Traduisez en anglais.

  1. J’apprends l’anglais depuis six ans.
  2. Elle ne m’a pas parlé depuis lundi.
  3. Depuis combien de temps attends-tu ?
  4. C’est la première fois que je viens à Édimbourg.
  5. Ils viennent de partir.
  6. As-tu déjà mangé des sushis ?
Exercice 8 : Traduction EN → FR

Traduisez en français.

  1. I’ve been working on this project since September.
  2. He’s gone to the doctor’s.
  3. We haven’t heard from them for weeks.
  4. It’s been raining all day.
  5. She has been to Australia twice.
Exercice 9 : Corriger les erreurs

Corrigez l’erreur dans chaque phrase.

  1. I live in this town since I was born.
  2. She has bought a new phone yesterday.
  3. We have been knowing each other for years.
  4. He has been there since two weeks.
  5. Have you finished your homework already yet?
  6. I have read this book for an hour.
Exercice 10 : Un message de vacances

Lisez le message, puis répondez aux questions en anglais.

Hi Sam! We’ve been in Cornwall for a week now and it’s been brilliant. We’ve been surfing every morning – well, Dad has been falling off his board every morning! I’ve already taken about three hundred photos and I’ve made friends with a girl from Bristol. Unfortunately, it’s been raining since Tuesday, so we’ve been playing board games in the cottage. Have you finished your work experience yet? Talk soon, Lily

  1. How long has Lily been in Cornwall?
  2. What has the family been doing every morning?
  3. How many photos has Lily taken?
  4. Since when has it been raining?
  5. What has the family been doing because of the rain?
  6. Find one present perfect simple and one present perfect in be + -ing, and explain the difference.
Exercice 11 : Production guidée

Rédigez un court paragraphe (70 à 100 mots) pour présenter une passion ou une activité que vous pratiquez depuis longtemps. Utilisez :

  1. une phrase avec for ;
  2. une phrase avec since ;
  3. une phrase au present perfect be + -ing ;
  4. une phrase avec never ou ever ;
  5. un bilan chiffré avec so far.
