1 point par réponse. 1. The judge asked the witness where he had been on the night of the fifth. 2. The witness said that he had been at home with his brother and that they had watched a film until midnight. 3. The judge asked if/whether he had heard anything unusual. 4. He pointed out that the neighbour’s dog hadn’t barked. Retirer 0,5 point si la concordance des temps n’est pas respectée.
1 point par phrase. 1. She asked me if I had ever visited Edinburgh. 2. He denied taking/having taken his father’s car. 3. The teacher advised us to read our notes again before the exam.
Réponse modèle : The customer asked whether there were any seats left. The salesman replied that the concert was sold out. She suggested another date, and he promised to check the schedule and call her back.
Critères : quatre verbes introducteurs variés (2 points), concordance des temps (2 points), pronoms et expressions de temps adaptés (1 point), langue et longueur (1 point).
Barème et conseils
Total : 20 points. Au-dessus de 14, le discours rapporté est maîtrisé ; entre 10 et 14, revoir les verbes à construction particulière ; sous 10, reprendre la concordance et l’ordre des mots. Erreurs fréquentes : garder l’inversion de la question, oublier de reculer le temps, confondre say et tell.
