Exercice 2 : Compréhension d’un document (5 points)

In Toronto, more than half of the residents were born outside Canada. On a single street, a visitor can hear Tagalog, Italian, Cantonese and Jamaican English. The city’s motto is ‘Diversity our strength’, and public signs are often printed in several languages. Yet some newcomers say that finding a first job is harder than politicians admit. A young Nigerian engineer explains that his foreign diploma was not recognised, so he drives a taxi while studying again.

Exercice 5 : Essai court (5 points)

Rédiger environ 100 mots pour répondre à la question suivante : What do English-speaking countries in America have in common, and what makes each one different?
