Ce corrigé futur reprend les douze exercices un par un. Pour le futur dans le passé, vérifiez toujours deux choses : le temps de l’auxiliaire (would, was, were) et la transposition des repères de temps.

Correction de l’exercice 1 : Will ou be going to ?- will : décision prise sur le moment.
- am going to : intention préparée (la peinture est achetée).
- is going to : indice présent.
- will : prédiction générale, avec I think.
- won’t : promesse.
- is going to : décision déjà prise.
- starts : programme officiel.
- am seeing : rendez-vous fixé.
- ‘ll switch : décision spontanée.

Après when, as soon as, until, once et before, le verbe reste au présent (ou au present perfect).

Comment progresser après ce corrigé
Si vous avez confondu will et be going to, demandez-vous toujours si la décision existe déjà avant le moment où l’on parle. Pour le futur dans le passé, entraînez-vous en racontant les projets que vous aviez l’an dernier : I was going to…, I thought I would…. Lisez enfin des biographies en anglais : elles regorgent de would de destin.
