Énoncé du contrôle hypothèse

Exercice 1 : Compléter les hypothèses (3 points)

Compléter chaque phrase avec la forme verbale qui convient.

  1. If she (study) harder, she would have passed the exam.
  2. If we had left earlier, we (not miss) the train.
  3. They would have helped you if you (ask) them.
  4. If I (know) about the strike, I would have taken the car.
  5. He (not break) his leg if he had worn proper boots.
  6. If the manager had listened, the company (survive).
Exercice 2 : Réécrire avec inversion (3 points)

Réécrire chaque phrase en supprimant if et en utilisant l’inversion.

  1. If he had known the truth, he would have resigned.
  2. If they had arrived on time, they would have seen the opening.
  3. If I had realised the risk, I would never have signed.
  4. If she had called, I would have answered.
  5. If we had been warned, we would have stayed at home.
  6. If the council had acted sooner, the river would not have flooded.
Exercice 3 : Conditionnelles mixtes (3 points)

Choisir la forme correcte et la recopier en entier.

  1. If I (take) that job in 2015, I (be) rich now.
  2. If she (not be) so shy, she (have) more friends today.
  3. If they (move) to Canada, they (speak) better French now.
  4. If I (be) you, I (apologise) yesterday.
  5. He (be) here now if he (catch) the earlier plane.
  6. If we (not buy) this flat, we (still live) with my parents.
Exercice 4 : Traduire en anglais (3 points)

Traduire en anglais.

  1. Si j’avais su, je ne serais pas venu.
  2. Ne l’aurais-je pas prévenu, il serait arrivé en retard.
  3. Si elle avait accepté, elle habiterait à Londres aujourd’hui.
Exercice 5 : Compréhension d’un document (4 points)

Lire l’extrait, puis répondre en anglais.

Mark: Honestly, if I had read the contract properly, I would have noticed the penalty clause.

Nina: Had you asked a lawyer, we would have avoided this mess.

Mark: Maybe. But had the agency told us about the fees, I wouldn’t have needed one!

Nina: True. If they had been more transparent, we wouldn’t be paying double now.

  1. What mistake does Mark admit?
  2. What would Nina have done differently?
  3. Whom does Mark blame in his second line?
  4. What is the present consequence of the situation?
Exercice 6 : Expression écrite (4 points)

Écrire six phrases sur un événement de sa vie ou de l’actualité : trois avec if + past perfect, deux avec inversion, une conditionnelle mixte.
