Must et mustn’t : exercices progressifs pour t’entraîner à exprimer une obligation ou une interdiction. Tu vas compléter, transformer, traduire, lire des panneaux et inventer tes propres règles.

Les exercices

Avant de commencer, rappelle-toi : must et mustn’t sont suivis de la base verbale, sans to et sans -s. Mustn’t : exercices à faire dans l’ordre, du plus simple au plus difficile.

Exercice 1 : must ou mustn’t ?

Complète chaque règle de l’école avec must ou mustn’t.

  1. You ___ listen to the teacher.
  2. You ___ run in the corridor.
  3. You ___ do your homework.
  4. You ___ chew gum in class.
  5. You ___ bring your books.
  6. You ___ shout in the library.
Exercice 2 : les panneaux

Transforme chaque panneau en phrase complète commençant par You must ou You mustn’t.

Exercice 3 : retrouve l’ordre

Remets les mots dans l’ordre pour former une phrase correcte.

  5. must / my / I / tidy / bedroom
Exercice 4 : corrige les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la correctement.

Exercice 5 : obligation ou interdiction ?

Lis chaque phrase et indique si elle exprime une obligation (O) ou une interdiction (I).

  1. You mustn’t touch the paintings.
  2. Players must wait for their turn.
  3. You must wear a helmet.
  4. We mustn’t open the window.
  5. He must feed the cat every day.
  6. You mustn’t take photos.
Exercice 6 : de l’impératif à must

Réécris chaque consigne avec You must ou You mustn’t.

  1. Don’t shout!

  3. Don’t eat in class!
  4. Raise your hand!
  5. Don’t forget your pencil case!
Exercice 7 : les règles de la piscine

Lis le règlement puis réponds True ou False.

Greenfield Swimming Pool – Rules

You must take a shower before you swim. You must wear a swimming cap. You mustn’t run near the pool. You mustn’t eat or drink in the water. Children under eight must swim with an adult. You mustn’t push other swimmers.

Exercice 8 : les règles du jeu

Complète les règles de ce jeu de société avec must ou mustn’t.

(1) Each player ___ choose a colour. (2) You ___ throw the dice to move. (3) You ___ look at the other players’ cards. (4) You ___ wait for your turn. (5) You ___ cheat! (6) The winner ___ say “I’m the champion!”

Exercice 9 : traduis en anglais

Traduis ces phrases en anglais.

  1. Tu dois écouter.
  2. Nous ne devons pas courir.
  3. Elle doit porter un uniforme.
  4. Ils ne doivent pas manger en classe.
  5. Je dois faire mes devoirs.
  6. Tu ne dois pas utiliser ton téléphone.
Exercice 10 : traduis en français

Traduis ces phrases en français.

  1. You must be on time.
  2. We mustn’t talk in the library.
  3. He must tidy his bedroom.
  4. You mustn’t feed the animals.
  5. They must wear a helmet.
Exercice 11 : mes règles à moi

Écris le règlement de ta chambre : trois phrases avec must et trois phrases avec mustn’t. Tu peux utiliser : knock on the door, take my things, be quiet, touch my computer, close the door, eat my sweets.
