Découvrir le passé : exercices pour s’habituer à raconter en anglais. Was ou were, verbes en -ed, quelques irréguliers, repères de temps… et pour finir, ton propre week-end en trois phrases.

Garde sous les yeux la liste des irréguliers du cours : went, saw, had, ate, did, bought.

Le passé : exercices progressifs

Exercice 1 : was ou were ?

Complète avec was ou were.

  1. I ___ at school yesterday.
  2. The weather ___ sunny.
  3. My friends ___ at the cinema.
  4. You ___ late this morning.
  5. We ___ in Scotland last summer.
  6. The cake ___ delicious.
Exercice 2 : wasn’t ou weren’t ?

Mets chaque phrase à la forme négative.

  1. It was cold.
  2. They were happy.
  3. She was at home.
  4. We were tired.
  5. The test was difficult.
Exercice 3 : ajoute -ed

Écris le prétérit de ces verbes réguliers. Attention à l’orthographe.

  1. play
  2. visit
  3. dance
  4. watch
  5. stop
  6. study
  7. listen
Exercice 4 : les irréguliers

Associe chaque base verbale à son prétérit : ate – bought – did – had – saw – went.

  1. go
  2. see
  3. have
  4. eat
  5. do
  6. buy
Exercice 5 : conjugue au prétérit

Mets le verbe entre parenthèses au prétérit.

  1. Yesterday, I (play) ___ basketball.
  2. Last weekend, we (go) ___ to the zoo.
  3. My sister (see) ___ a big lion.
  4. They (visit) ___ a castle last summer.
  5. Tom (have) ___ a hamburger for lunch.
  6. We (watch) ___ a film on Saturday evening.
Exercice 6 : présent ou passé ?

Lis chaque phrase et indique si elle parle du présent (Pr) ou du passé (Pa). Souligne l’indice.

  1. I was in Paris yesterday.
  2. She is at school now.
  3. We went to the beach last weekend.
  4. They play tennis every Sunday.
  5. He saw a film two days ago.
  6. You are my best friend.
Exercice 7 : remets dans l’ordre

Remets les mots dans l’ordre.

  1. was / yesterday / I / home / at
  2. weekend / went / we / last / the / beach / to
  3. a / she / dolphin / saw
  4. funny / film / the / was
  5. played / they / football / Saturday / on
Exercice 8 : le journal de Ruby

Lis le texte puis réponds True ou False. Corrige les phrases fausses.

Last weekend was great! On Saturday morning, I went to the market with my dad. We bought apples and a big cake. In the afternoon, my cousins visited us and we played in the garden. On Sunday, we were at the beach. The water was cold but we saw a seal! In the evening, I was very tired.

  1. Ruby went to the market with her mum.
  2. They bought apples.
  3. Her cousins visited her on Saturday afternoon.
  4. On Sunday, they were at the swimming pool.
  5. The water was warm.
  6. Ruby was tired in the evening.
Exercice 9 : corrige les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la correctement.

  1. I were at the park.
  2. We goed to London.
  3. She playeds the piano yesterday.
  4. They was happy.
  5. The last weekend, I visited my aunt.
  6. He seed a rabbit.
Exercice 10 : traduis en anglais

Traduis ces phrases en anglais.

  1. J’étais à la maison hier.
  2. Nous sommes allés au cinéma le week-end dernier.
  3. Elle a vu un chien.
  4. Ils ont joué au football.
  5. C’était génial !
  6. Tu n’étais pas à l’école.
Exercice 11 : ton week-end en trois phrases

Raconte ton dernier week-end en trois phrases : 1. où tu étais (was), 2. ce que tu as fait (un verbe en -ed ou irrégulier), 3. ton avis (It was…). Puis écris deux phrases sur le week-end d’un ami.
