Associe chaque fête à sa date ou sa période.

Exercice 2 : classe le vocabulaire

À quelle fête chaque mot fait-il penser ? Écris Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, St Patrick’s Day, Easter ou Diwali.

Exercice 3 : la bonne formule

Choisis la formule correcte.

  1. On 25th December: Merry Christmas / Merry Easter!
  2. On 31st October: Happy Halloween / Merry Halloween!
  3. In Ireland on 17th March: Happy St Patrick’s Day / Happy Diwali!
  4. In the USA in November: Happy Thanksgiving / Happy Boxing Day!
  5. For the festival of lights: Happy Diwali / Merry Diwali!
  6. In spring, with chocolate eggs: Happy Easter / Happy Christmas!
Exercice 4 : complète le texte d’Halloween

Complète avec : costume, pumpkin, sweets, witch, scary, treat.

Tonight is Halloween! I’m wearing a black (1) … and a big hat: I’m a (2) … ! My brother is a ghost. Our (3) … has got a funny face and a candle inside. We knock on doors and say « Trick or (4) … ! » Our neighbours give us lots of (5) … . The house at the end of the street is very (6) … !

Exercice 5 : vrai ou faux ?

Écris True ou False.

Exercice 7 : traduis en français

Exercice 8 : traduis en anglais

Exercice 9 : compréhension d’un dialogue

Lucas: Hi Emma! What do you do at Christmas in England?

Emma: On Christmas Eve, I put my stocking next to the fireplace. In the morning, it’s full of presents!

Lucas: And what do you eat?

Emma: We have roast turkey, and then Christmas pudding. My grandad loves mince pies.

Lucas: What are crackers?

Emma: They’re paper tubes. You pull them with a friend, they go bang, and inside there’s a paper crown and a joke.

Lucas: And on 26th December?

Emma: It’s Boxing Day! We go for a long walk with the dog.

Réponds en anglais.

Exercice 10 : corrige les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la.

  1. Merry Easter!
  2. We celebrate halloween on 31st October.
  3. On Thanksgiving, we eat a turkeys.
  4. Happy christmas!
  5. Diwali is the festival of darkness.
  6. Santa Claus puts presents in our shoe.
Exercice 11 : écris une carte de vœux

Choisis une fête et écris une petite carte en anglais à un ami, en suivant ces étapes.

  1. Salue ton ami.
  2. Écris la formule de vœux qui convient.
  3. Cite deux choses que tu fais pour cette fête.
  4. Cite un plat ou une friandise de cette fête.
  5. Termine la carte et signe.
