  1. I’m against homework because it takes too much time. (suivi d’un sujet + verbe)
  2. Many students are tired because of their screens. (suivi d’un nom)
  3. Uniforms are a good idea because everybody looks the same.
  4. The match was cancelled because of the storm.
  5. I like this rule because it protects younger students.
  6. She changed her mind because of his arguments.
Correction de l’exercice 3 : Opposer des idées
  1. Although video games are fun, they can be addictive. (although relie deux propositions dans une même phrase)
  2. Phones are useful. However, they distract students. (however commence une nouvelle phrase, suivi d’une virgule)
  3. My brother loves uniforms, whereas I hate them. (whereas compare deux personnes)
  4. Although it is expensive, a school trip is a great experience.
  5. Homework helps us revise. However, too much homework is stressful.
  6. Some students prefer online lessons, whereas others prefer real classrooms.
Correction de l’exercice 4 : Corrige l’erreur
  1. I agree with you. (agree est un verbe)
  2. In my opinion, uniforms are useless.
  3. On the one hand, it’s cheap.
  4. Do you like it? I think so.
  5. Despite the rain, we went out. (ou In spite of)
  6. She disagrees with her parents. (verbe au présent, 3e personne : -s)
  7. The main advantage is the price.
  8. I’m against the new rule. (pas de to après against)

  1. Phones distract students, so they learn less.
  2. Sport is good for your health. What’s more, it is fun.
  3. Some subjects, such as maths, are difficult.
  4. The canteen is noisy. That’s why students can’t relax.
  5. Although the trip is expensive, it is very interesting.
  6. Cycling is good for the planet, whereas driving pollutes.

Correction de l’exercice 11 : Ta rédaction pour ou contre

Exemple de rédaction :

  1. Nowadays, most students have homework every evening. Should homework be banned?
  2. On the one hand, homework takes a lot of time. For instance, some students work for two hours after school.
  3. Moreover, not all students get help at home, so homework can be unfair.
  4. On the other hand, homework helps us revise and remember our lessons.
  5. What’s more, it teaches us to work alone, for example when we prepare for a test.
  6. To conclude, I don’t think homework should be banned, because it is useful, but teachers should give less of it.

Comment progresser après ce corrigé

Relis tes erreurs de l’exercice 4 : ce sont celles que les correcteurs du brevet voient le plus souvent. Apprends par cœur cinq expressions sûres (On the one hand, On the other hand, I agree because, However, To conclude) et réutilise-les dans chaque rédaction. Enfin, entraîne-toi à l’oral avec un proche : choisissez un sujet du quotidien et défendez chacun un camp pendant deux minutes.
