Contrôle voix passive : sujet

Exercice 1 : Mettre au passif (4 points)

Transformer chaque phrase à la voix passive. Conserver l’agent seulement quand il est important.

1. They built this bridge in 1890.

2. People speak English in many countries.

3. The company will open a new office next year.

4. Someone has stolen my bicycle.

5. A famous architect designed the school.

6. The teacher is correcting the tests.

Exercice 2 : Verbes à conjuguer (3 points)

Compléter avec le verbe entre parenthèses, à la voix passive et au temps qui convient.

1. The Eiffel Tower (visit) ______ by millions of tourists every year.

2. This novel (write) ______ in 1925.

3. The streets (clean) ______ at the moment.

4. The results (announce) ______ tomorrow.

5. The window (break) ______ by a ball yesterday.

6. These photos (just / post) ______ online.

Exercice 3 : Passif ou actif ? (3 points)

Entourer la forme correcte.

1. The pizza (ate / was eaten / was eating) by my brother.

2. Thousands of fans (cheered / were cheered / has cheered) the singer.

3. The film (is directed / directs / directed) by a young woman.

4. English (is spoken / speaks / is speaking) in Australia.

5. The letter (has been sent / has sent / was sending) already.

6. The match (has been cancelled / cancelled / is cancelling) because of the rain.

Exercice 4 : Compréhension d’un article (4 points)

Lire l’extrait puis répondre en anglais.

The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by France in 1886. It was designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and its metal structure was built by Gustave Eiffel. Every year, the island is visited by more than four million people. The statue has been repaired several times, and it is now protected by law.

1. Who was the statue given by?

2. Who built the metal structure?

3. How many people visit the island every year?

4. What is the situation of the statue today?

Exercice 5 : Traduction (3 points)

Traduire en anglais en utilisant le passif.

1. Ce château a été construit au XVe siècle.

2. Les billets seront vendus demain.

3. On m’a offert un livre pour mon anniversaire.

Exercice 6 : Expression écrite (3 points)

Écrire 4 à 5 phrases au passif pour présenter un monument ou un objet célèbre : date de création, créateur, usage actuel.
