Ce corrigé comparatif et superlatif suit l’ordre des exercices. Pour chaque erreur, vérifie d’abord si l’adjectif est court ou long : c’est la question qui décide presque tout.

Correction de l’exercice 1 : écrire le comparatif

  6. The horse isn’t as heavy as the elephant.
Correction de l’exercice 8 : corriger les erreurs
  1. My brother is taller than me.
  2. This is the biggest house in the street.
  3. Paris is bigger than Lyon.
  4. She is the best singer in the choir. (superlatif, pas comparatif)
  5. It’s the oldest castle in England.
  6. He is as tall as his dad.

  1. My sister is older than me.
  2. It is the funniest film of the year.
  3. Bristol is not as big as London.
  4. She is the most popular girl in the school.
  5. These shoes are better than those. (ou Those shoes are better than these.)

  1. My bag is heavier than your bag. (ou than yours)
  2. It’s the best cake in the world!

Exemple de réponse (Londres et Édimbourg) :

  1. London is bigger than Edinburgh.
  2. Edinburgh is more romantic than London.
  3. The weather in London is better than in Edinburgh.
  4. Edinburgh isn’t as crowded as London.
  5. London is the biggest city in the United Kingdom.

Comment progresser après ce corrigé

Si tu as écrit « more tall » ou « the most biggest », compte les syllabes à voix haute avant de choisir la forme. Si l’orthographe te piège, relis le tableau des cas (y → i, consonne doublée). Ensuite, amuse-toi à comparer les membres de ta famille, tes séries ou tes jeux préférés : trois phrases par jour suffisent pour automatiser ces structures.
