Énoncé du contrôle habitudes

Exercice 1 : Compléter avec la forme correcte (3 points)

Compléter chaque phrase avec la forme qui convient.

  1. When I was a child, we (spend) every summer by the sea.
  2. She is not (drive) on the left yet.
  3. He (live) in Paris, but now he lives in Lyon.
  4. After a month, they finally (get) the noise.
  5. Every Sunday my grandfather (take) us fishing.
  6. I’m not (wake) up so early; it is exhausting.
Exercice 2 : Choisir et justifier (3 points)

Indiquer dans chaque phrase si la forme proposée est correcte (C) ou incorrecte (I), puis corriger les phrases incorrectes.

  1. I’m used to get up at six.
  2. He used to smoke, but he stopped.
  3. We would be happy in that village. (état)
  4. She didn’t used to like coffee.
  5. They are getting used to working at night.
  6. Did you use to play chess?
Exercice 3 : Réécrire (3 points)

Réécrire chaque phrase en employant la structure demandée entre parenthèses.

  1. I played football every day when I was ten. (used to)
  2. Cold weather is normal for her. (be used to)
  3. At first the food seemed strange, but now it feels normal. (get used to)
  4. He had a beard once, but he doesn’t now. (used to)
  5. Nowadays, long walks are normal for us. (be used to)
  6. We went to the market each Friday. (would)
Exercice 4 : Traduire en anglais (3 points)

Traduire en anglais.

  1. Autrefois, il y avait un cinéma dans notre rue.
  2. Je m’habitue lentement à vivre à la campagne.
  3. Elle n’a pas l’habitude de parler en public.
Exercice 5 : Compréhension d’un témoignage (4 points)

Lire le témoignage, puis répondre en anglais.

When I moved from Glasgow to Marseille, nothing was familiar. I used to eat dinner at six; here nobody sits down before nine. At first I couldn’t get used to the heat, and I wasn’t used to speaking French all day.

In Scotland, we would meet friends in a pub every Friday. Here, we meet at a café terrace. Now I’ve got used to the late evenings, but I still miss the rain a little.

  3. What did she do every Friday in Scotland?
  4. What does she still miss?
Exercice 6 : Expression écrite (4 points)

Écrire un paragraphe de 70 à 90 mots comparant sa vie d’enfant et sa vie actuelle, avec used to, would, be used to et get used to.
