Voici le corrigé conditionnel anglais des onze exercices. Chaque réponse est en gras, et une courte explication rappelle la règle quand une hésitation est fréquente.

Correction de l’exercice 1 : le bon temps après if- rains : possible, présent après if.
- were : irréel du présent, were à toutes les personnes.
- heat : vérité générale (type 0).
- had : irréel du présent.
- hurry : unless suit la règle du présent et contient déjà la négation.
- offered : la condition est jugée peu probable, d’où le prétérit et would.
- bring : as long as + présent.
- would go : principale de l’irréel du présent.
- If you had told me, I would have helped you.

Comment progresser après ce corrigé
Repérez le type d’erreur que vous avez commis le plus souvent : will ou would après if, participe passé oublié, contraction à l’inversion négative. Écrivez ensuite trois phrases personnelles pour chaque degré d’hypothèse, puis transformez celles de l’irréel du passé en inversion. Lisez-les à voix haute en réduisant would have en /ˈwʊdəv/ : l’oreille retient mieux que l’œil.
