Le prétérit des verbes en -ed n’aura plus de secret pour toi après ces douze exercices. Tu vas former les verbes, soigner l’orthographe, utiliser les marqueurs du passé, lire un journal intime et, pour finir, raconter ta propre sortie.

S’entraîner au prétérit des verbes en -ed

Exercice 1 : Former le prétérit

Écris le prétérit de ces verbes réguliers.

Exercice 2 : Attention à l’orthographe

Écris le prétérit de ces verbes en appliquant la bonne règle d’orthographe.

  1. like
  2. study
  3. stop
  4. play
  5. dance
  6. cry
  7. plan
  8. enjoy
Exercice 3 : Passé ou présent ?

Indique si chaque phrase est au prétérit ou au présent simple.

  1. We visited London last year.
  2. She watches TV every evening.
  3. They arrived two hours ago.
  4. I live in Lyon.
  5. He played the guitar yesterday.
  6. My cat jumps on the table every morning.
Exercice 4 : Les bons marqueurs

Complète avec yesterday, last, ago ou in.

  1. I phoned my grandmother ___ evening.
  2. We moved to Nantes three years ___.
  3. They visited the castle ___ summer.
  4. My parents married ___ 2008.
  5. ___ night, it rained a lot.
  6. The film started ten minutes ___.
Exercice 5 : Une soirée en cuisine

Mets les verbes entre parenthèses au prétérit.

  1. Yesterday, I ___ (help) my dad in the kitchen.
  2. We ___ (cook) a big pizza.
  3. My little brother ___ (try) to help too.
  4. He ___ (drop) the eggs on the floor!
  5. Mum ___ (laugh) a lot.
  6. Then we ___ (clean) the kitchen together.
  7. After dinner, my sister ___ (play) the piano.
  8. We all ___ (enjoy) the evening.
Exercice 6 : Du présent au passé

Récris chaque phrase au prétérit en remplaçant le marqueur par celui qui est entre parenthèses.

  1. I walk to school every day. (yesterday)
  2. She studies English every evening. (last night)
  3. We watch a film on Fridays. (last Friday)
  4. They play tennis every week. (last week)
  5. He stops at the bakery every morning. (two days ago)
  6. My parents travel a lot. (last year)
Exercice 7 : Chasse aux erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Corrige-la.

  1. Yesterday I watch TV.
  2. She studyed hard for the test.
  3. We stoped at a café.
  4. Last week they visit the zoo.
  5. Ago two days, he played football.
  6. I plaied with my dog in the garden.
Exercice 8 : Le journal de Chloe

Lis la page du journal intime de Chloe, puis dis si les affirmations sont vraies (V) ou fausses (F). Justifie les réponses fausses avec une phrase du texte.

Saturday 14th October

Dear diary, today I visited the Science Museum with my class. We arrived at ten o’clock. First, we watched a short film about planets. Then we explored a big room with old planes and I touched a real rocket engine! At lunchtime, we stopped in the park and we chatted a lot. After that, I tried a virtual reality game: I travelled to the Moon! Finally, we returned to school at four. I loved this day! – Chloe

  1. Chloe visited the museum with her family.
  2. They arrived at ten o’clock.
  3. First, they watched a film about animals.
  4. Chloe touched a rocket engine.
  5. They stopped in a restaurant at lunchtime.
  6. Chloe hated the day.
Exercice 9 : Traduire en anglais

Traduis ces phrases en anglais. Tous les verbes sont réguliers.

  1. Hier, j’ai regardé un match de rugby.
  2. Nous avons visité Édimbourg l’année dernière.
  3. Elle a étudié pendant deux heures.
  4. Le train est arrivé il y a dix minutes.
  5. Ils ont dansé toute la nuit.
  6. Mon chien a sauté dans la rivière samedi dernier.
Exercice 10 : Traduire en français

Traduis ces phrases en français.

  1. I cleaned my room last weekend.
  2. We waited for the bus for twenty minutes.
  3. She smiled at me.
  4. They lived in Scotland ten years ago.
  5. The match started at three o’clock.
Exercice 11 : Remettre dans l’ordre

Remets les mots dans l’ordre pour former une phrase correcte.

  1. visited / last / we / summer / Bath
  2. ago / arrived / she / an hour
  3. yesterday / my / cooked / dad / dinner
  4. the / watched / we / stars / night / last
  5. tried / sushi / I / first time / for the
Exercice 12 : Raconte ta sortie

Raconte en 5 phrases une sortie que tu as faite (au parc, au musée, à la plage…). Utilise un verbe différent par phrase et les mots de liaison indiqués.

Verbes possibles : visit, walk, look at, play, picnic, laugh, return, enjoy.

  1. Last… (commence par un marqueur de temps)
  2. First, …
  3. Then, …
  4. After that, …
  5. Finally, …
