Voici le corrigé if et will des onze exercices. Vérifiez surtout le temps employé après if : c’est l’erreur la plus fréquente, et chaque fois qu’elle apparaît, la règle est rappelée.

Correction de l’exercice 1 : associez la condition et la conséquence- 1-d : If you eat too many sweets, you’ll have toothache.
- 2-f : If it rains tomorrow, we’ll stay at home.
- 3-b : If you look at this painting carefully, you’ll notice a tiny cat in the corner.
- 4-e : If she studies hard, she’ll pass her test.
- 5-a : If we leave now, we’ll catch the train.
- 6-c : If you don’t wear a coat, you’ll be cold.
- If it is sunny, we will go to the beach.
- If you help me, I will finish quickly.
- If Tom misses the bus, he will be late. (-es après ss)
- If we don’t hurry, we will miss the film.
- If she calls me, I will tell her the news.
- If you look closely, you will see a bird in the tree.

Les formes contractées (we’ll go, I’ll finish…) sont aussi correctes.

- What will you do if the bus doesn’t come? – Exemple : I’ll walk to school.
- What will you do if you get a bad mark? – Exemple : I’ll work harder.
- What will you do if you find a wallet in the street? – Exemple : I’ll take it to the police station.

Remarquez que chaque conséquence avec will redevient une condition au présent : I’ll be late → If I am late.

Comment progresser après ce corrigé if et will
Si vous avez mis will après if, relisez le schéma du cours et répétez à voix haute trois phrases modèles, comme If it rains, we’ll stay at home. Entraînez-vous ensuite avec un jeu simple : un camarade dit une condition, vous inventez la conséquence, puis vous inversez les rôles. Enfin, devant une image ou une affiche, décrivez ce qu’on voit en commençant par If you look at…, you’ll notice… : c’est un excellent réflexe pour l’oral.
