Voici des exercices paysages et saisons pour t’entraîner à nommer les éléments d’un paysage, à parler du temps qu’il fait et du climat, et à décrire une saison. Un bulletin météo et un texte sur le Canada t’attendent en cours de route.

Les exercices paysages et saisons

Exercice 1 : Le vocabulaire du paysage

Associe chaque mot anglais à sa traduction : a) une colline, b) une cascade, c) une vallée, d) une falaise, e) un ruisseau, f) une prairie, g) une île, h) une grotte.

  6. a cave

Exercice 2 : Quelle saison ?

Complète avec la saison qui convient (hémisphère nord).

  1. Christmas is in ___.
  2. The leaves turn red and fall in ___.
  3. The summer holidays start in July, in ___.
  4. Flowers bloom and birds come back in ___.
  5. Halloween is on 31st October, in ___.
  6. In Australia, Christmas is in ___.
Exercice 3 : Du nom à l’adjectif

Transforme le nom en adjectif pour compléter la phrase.

  1. sun → It’s ___ today, let’s go to the beach.
  2. wind → Take a kite, it’s very ___.
  3. fog → Drive slowly, it’s ___.
  4. cloud → The sky is grey and ___.
  5. snow → We love ___ days because we can go sledging.
  6. rain → Scotland is a ___ country.
Exercice 4 : Weather ou climate ?

Complète avec weather ou climate.

  1. What’s the ___ like today?
  2. Egypt has a hot and dry ___.
  3. The ___ forecast says it will rain tomorrow.
  4. We had lovely ___ during our holiday.
  5. Scientists study ___ change.
Exercice 5 : Les phénomènes extrêmes

Trouve le mot qui correspond à chaque définition : hurricane, flood, drought, heatwave, snowstorm, tornado.

  1. A long period with no rain.
  2. A lot of water that covers the land, the roads and the houses.
  3. A very strong storm with heavy rain that comes from the ocean.
  4. A period of very hot weather.
  5. A storm with a lot of snow and wind.
  6. A wind that turns very fast and destroys everything on its way.
Exercice 6 : Remettre les mots dans l’ordre

Remets les mots dans l’ordre.

  1. season / is / favourite / my / spring
  2. the / like / weather / what’s / ?
  3. a / there / green / is / valley
  4. in / leaves / the / turn / autumn / red
  5. beautiful / landscape / the / is / very
  6. freezing / it’s / winter / in
Exercice 7 : Corriger les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Corrige-la.

  1. I love the Summer.
  2. We had a nice weather in Wales.
  3. There is a river blue in the valley.
  4. In january, it is very cold.
  5. It’s rain today.
  6. My favourite season is the automn.
Exercice 8 : Lire un bulletin météo

Observe le tableau du bulletin météo de lundi et réponds aux questions en anglais.

Exercice 9 : Compréhension d’un texte

My name is Chloe and I live in Vermont, in the north-east of the USA. Our state is famous for its hills, its forests and its lakes. In winter, there is a lot of snow and people go skiing. In spring, everything is green again and the rivers are full of water. But my favourite season is fall. In October, the maple trees turn red, orange and gold, and thousands of tourists come to see the landscape. The weather is cool and sunny. Last year, there was a big flood in our town after a terrible storm, but now everything is OK.

Réponds en anglais.

Exercice 10 : Traduire en anglais

Traduis en anglais.

  1. Il y a une grande cascade dans la montagne.
  2. Quel temps fait-il ? Il y a du brouillard.
  3. En hiver, il neige et il fait glacial.
  4. L’Écosse a un climat humide.
  5. Après l’orage, il y a eu une inondation.
  6. Ma saison préférée est le printemps.
Exercice 11 : Traduire en français

Traduis en français.

  1. The village is between two hills.
  2. There was a heatwave last summer.
  3. The wind is blowing and the sky is cloudy.
  4. The white cliffs are near the coast.
  5. In fall, the leaves fall from the trees.
Exercice 12 : Production guidée

Décris ta saison préférée en 6 phrases environ. Aide-toi de ces questions.

  1. What is your favourite season?
  2. What’s the weather like during this season?
  3. What does the landscape look like (trees, fields, mountains, the sea…)?
  4. What do you like doing during this season?
  5. Why is it your favourite season?
