Voici le corrigé discours rapporté, exercice par exercice. Dans les réponses, that est souvent ajouté entre parenthèses : il est correct avec ou sans. Vérifie surtout tes pronoms, tes temps et l’ordre des mots dans les questions.

Correction de l’exercice 1 : Say ou tell ?- She told me : une personne suit le verbe.
- He said that : pas de personne.
- Can you tell me the time? : tell + personne.
- They said goodbye : expression figée.
- Tell the truth! : expression figée.
- What did the teacher say to you? : say to sb, base verbale après did.
- My brother told us a funny story : tell a story.
- « I’m hungry, » Sam said.
- He said he lived in Leeds.
- He said he was watching a film.
- He said he had lost his keys.
- He said he had seen the accident.
- He said he would call me.
- He said he could swim.
- He said he had to leave.
- He said he didn’t like spinach.

I wonder est au présent : aucune concordance, mais l’ordre sujet + verbe est obligatoire et le point final remplace le point d’interrogation.

Comment progresser après ce corrigé
Le discours rapporté s’apprend surtout par l’usage. Le soir, raconte en anglais trois choses qu’on t’a dites dans la journée : My friend told me that…, The teacher asked us if… Si l’ordre des mots dans les questions te pose problème, écris d’abord la réponse à la question, puis ajoute ask et le mot interrogatif devant. Et relis toujours tes phrases en cherchant un said suivi d’une personne.
