Exemple d’essai modèle :

Affirmative action means giving an advantage to applicants from groups that have long been excluded. Should universities give priority to students from disadvantaged backgrounds? Supporters argue that talent is everywhere but opportunities are not. A brilliant pupil from a poor estate has often had fewer books, fewer private lessons and less advice than a pupil from a wealthy area, so taking background into account simply makes the competition fairer. Moreover, diverse campuses prepare all students for a diverse world. Critics claim, however, that admissions should be based on merit alone, and that beneficiaries may be suspected of not deserving their place. Whereas some see priority as justice, others see it as a new form of unfairness. In my opinion, universities should consider social background rather than ethnic origin, and combine it with mentoring and better schools. Inclusion must start long before the age of eighteen.
