Exercice 1 : La nature du documentTraduis le type de document en anglais, avec a ou an.

Observe le schéma, puis complète chaque phrase avec l’expression de lieu qui convient.

Complète avec there is ou there are.

Mets le verbe entre parenthèses au présent en be + -ing.

Choisis la bonne forme.

Réécris chaque phrase avec might (doute) ou must (quasi-certitude), selon l’indice entre parenthèses.

- Maybe the woman is a teacher. (doute)
- It’s certainly a holiday: everybody is on the beach. (certitude)

Remets les mots dans l’ordre pour former une phrase correcte.

This document is a black and white photograph taken in New York in the 1930s. In the foreground, eleven workers are sitting on a metal beam, high above the city. They are eating their lunch and chatting. Some of them are smoking. In the background, we can see tall buildings and Central Park. The men don’t seem to be afraid at all: they must be used to working at this height. I find this photo impressive but a bit scary because there is nothing to protect them.
Réponds par True ou False et justifie avec une citation du texte.

- Dis ce qu’il y a au premier plan.
- Dis ce qu’il y a à l’arrière-plan.
- Décris une action en cours.
- Fais une hypothèse avec might ou must.
- Donne ton avis en le justifiant avec because.
