Every Sunday, my family has a traditional roast. My dad cooks the meat, usually roast beef or chicken, and my mum makes the Yorkshire puddings. They are soft inside and crunchy outside. My brother and I lay the table: plates, knives, forks, glasses and napkins. We eat roast potatoes, carrots and peas with lots of gravy, a brown sauce made with the juices of the meat. For dessert, my grandma brings an apple crumble. It’s sweet and a bit sour because of the apples. After the meal, everybody helps to clear the table. It’s my favourite meal of the week! — Oliver, 12, Manchester
