Exercice 1 : Le vocabulaire royal

Traduis chaque mot en français.

Exercice 2 : L’arbre de la famille

Observe l’arbre, puis complète chaque phrase avec un mot de la famille.

Exercice 3 : True or false?

Vrai ou faux ? Corrige les phrases fausses.

  1. Charles III became King in 2022.
  2. Elizabeth II reigned for 70 years.
  3. The Prime Minister is the head of state.
  4. William is the heir to the throne.
  5. Louis comes before Charlotte in the line of succession.
  6. The coronation took place in Westminster Abbey.

Exercice 4 : Le cas possessif

Réécris avec le cas possessif (’s ou ’).

Exercice 5 : La relève de la garde

Complète avec : band – tunics – palace – move – tourists – bearskins.

Exercice 6 : Un long règne

Lis le texte, puis réponds en anglais.

Elizabeth II became Queen in 1952, when she was only 25. She reigned for seventy years, longer than any other British monarch. She met fourteen Prime Ministers and travelled all over the world. When she died in September 2022, her eldest son became King Charles III. His coronation took place on 6th May 2023 in Westminster Abbey. Millions of people watched it on TV.

Exercice 7 : L’ordre de succession

Classe ces personnes de 1 à 5 dans l’ordre de succession au trône.

Exercice 8 : Traduis en anglais
  1. Le roi habite dans un palais.
  2. William est l’héritier du trône.
  3. George est le petit-fils du roi.

  6. Charlotte est la sœur de George.

Associe chaque question à sa réponse.

Exercice 11 : Corrige les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la correctement.

  4. The guards smile and talk to the tourists.

  6. The guard’s hats are very tall. (plusieurs gardes)
Exercice 12 : Raconte la relève de la garde

Tu as assisté à la relève de la garde. Écris un message de 5 à 6 phrases à un ami. Utilise :

  1. le lieu et l’heure ;
  2. deux détails sur l’uniforme des gardes ;
  3. la musique ;
  4. une phrase avec le cas possessif ;
  5. ton impression (It was amazing / funny / impressive…).
