Exercice 1 : traduisez le vocabulaire

Donnez le mot français.

Exercice 2 : réel ou imaginaire ?

Écrivez real ou imaginary.

  1. a chocolate river
  2. the Mississippi

  5. a tree made of candy
  6. a wooden fence
  7. a giant who catches dreams
Exercice 3 : Dahl ou Twain ?

Indiquez l’auteur concerné : Roald Dahl ou Mark Twain.

  1. His real name was Samuel Clemens.
  2. He was born in Wales.
  3. He was a steamboat pilot.
  4. He wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
  5. He grew up in Hannibal, Missouri.
  6. He invented the word scrumdiddlyumptious.
Exercice 4 : qui est-ce ?

Retrouvez le personnage : Charlie, Willy Wonka, Grandpa Joe, Augustus Gloop, Tom, Aunt Polly, Huck Finn, Becky Thatcher.

  1. He owns the chocolate factory.
  2. He finds the last golden ticket.
  3. He goes to the factory with Charlie.
  4. He falls into the chocolate river.
  5. She asks Tom to paint the fence.
  6. She gets lost in a cave with Tom.
  7. He is Tom’s best friend.
  8. He hates work and loves adventures.
Exercice 5 : complétez le résumé

Complétez avec : poor, golden, kind, factory, grandparents, river.

Exercice 6 : lisez l’extrait et répondez

The door opened and the children stepped inside. They could not believe their eyes. In front of them, there was a beautiful valley. Green meadows ran down to a river of melted chocolate, and a huge waterfall made the chocolate frothy and light. Everything here was edible: the grass, the flowers and even the trees. « It’s a wonderland! » whispered Grandpa Joe.

Répondez en anglais.

Exercice 7 : lisez l’extrait et dites vrai ou faux

It was a sunny Saturday morning and all the boys were going fishing. But Tom had a bucket of white paint and a long brush. The fence was thirty yards long. Tom sighed. Then Ben Rogers arrived, eating an apple. Tom started painting slowly and carefully, like an artist. « You have to work today? » asked Ben. « Work? This isn’t work! Not every boy can paint a fence! » said Tom.

True or False ? Corrigez les phrases fausses.

Exercice 8 : imaginary ou imaginative ? character ou personality ?

Choisissez le bon mot.

Exercice 10 : traduisez en anglais

Exercice 11 : inventez votre wonderland

À la manière de Roald Dahl, décrivez en 5 phrases un lieu imaginaire de votre invention. Utilisez :
