Avec ces exercices récit au passé, vous allez construire un souvenir pas à pas : choisir le bon connecteur, conjuguer au prétérit, nommer vos émotions, remettre une histoire dans l’ordre, puis écrire votre propre récit.

Les exercices récit au passé

Exercice 1 : traduisez les connecteurs

Donnez l’équivalent anglais.

  1. D’abord
  2. Puis
  3. Après cela
  4. Soudain
  5. Plus tard
  6. À la fin
  7. Enfin (après une longue attente)
Exercice 2 : conjuguez au prétérit

Mettez le verbe au prétérit.

  1. Last summer, we ___ (go) to Ireland.
  2. I ___ (see) a rainbow over the sea.
  3. My sister ___ (take) lots of pictures.
  4. We ___ (visit) an old castle.
  5. It ___ (be) very windy.
  6. I ___ (feel) tired but happy.
  7. We ___ (stay) in a small cottage.
  8. My dad ___ (lose) his sunglasses!
Exercice 3 : choisissez le bon connecteur

Choisissez le connecteur le plus logique.

  1. (First / Finally), we packed our bags.
  2. (Then / At last), we took the train to the coast.
  3. We waited for two hours. (Suddenly / At last), the boat arrived!
  4. We were on the beach. (Suddenly / First), it started to rain.
  5. (In the end / At first), it was a great day.
Exercice 4 : quelle émotion ?

Complétez avec : proud, scared, relieved, disappointed, embarrassed, excited.

  1. I won the race. I was so ___!
  2. There was a huge spider in my bed. I was ___!
  3. The concert was cancelled. I felt ___.
  4. I fell in front of the whole class. I was ___.
  5. We found my lost dog. We were ___.
  6. The night before the school trip, I couldn’t sleep. I was very ___!
Exercice 5 : -ed ou -ing ?

Choisissez la bonne forme.

  1. The film was (bored / boring).
  2. I was (bored / boring) at the museum.
  3. The roller coaster was (scared / scary).
  4. We were (excited / exciting) before the match.
  5. It was an (excited / exciting) day.
  6. She was (interested / interesting) in the story.
Exercice 6 : remettez le souvenir dans l’ordre

Classez les phrases de A à F pour reconstituer l’histoire.

  1. A. After that, we ate a huge chocolate cake.
  2. B. Last Saturday, it was my twelfth birthday.
  3. C. Finally, my friends gave me a new skateboard. I was delighted!
  4. D. First, my friends arrived at two o’clock.
  5. E. Then, we played games in the garden.
  6. F. Suddenly, the dog jumped on the table and ate a piece of cake!
Exercice 7 : lisez le souvenir et répondez

When I was ten, I flew on a plane for the first time. We went to visit my grandmother in Canada. At the airport, I felt really nervous because the plane was enormous. Then, we took off and I looked out of the window: the houses were tiny! After that, a flight attendant gave me a little puzzle. Seven hours later, we landed in Montreal. My grandmother was waiting for us with a big smile. I was so happy. I’ll never forget that trip.

Répondez en anglais.

  1. How old was the narrator?
  2. Where did the family go?
  3. How did the narrator feel at the airport? Why?
  4. What did the narrator see from the window?
  5. What did the flight attendant give?
  6. How long was the flight?
  7. Find the sentence that concludes the story.
Exercice 8 : corrigez les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécrivez-la.

  1. Last year, we go to the zoo.
  2. When I had seven, I broke my arm.
  3. We swimmed in the lake.
  4. It were a fantastic day.
  5. At the last, we found the hotel.
  6. I was very boring at the party.
Exercice 9 : traduisez en anglais
  1. L’été dernier, je suis allé à la mer.
  2. D’abord, nous avons nagé.
  3. Soudain, j’ai vu un requin !
  4. J’avais très peur.
  5. Finalement, c’était un dauphin.
  6. Je n’oublierai jamais ce jour-là.
Exercice 10 : enrichissez le récit

Ce récit est trop sec. Réécrivez chaque phrase en ajoutant l’élément demandé.

  1. We went to the park. (+ un repère de temps au début)
  2. We played football. (+ un connecteur)
  3. I scored a goal. (+ une émotion avec I felt…)
  4. It started to rain. (+ un connecteur de surprise)
  5. We went home. (+ un connecteur de fin)
Exercice 11 : racontez votre souvenir

Racontez un souvenir réel ou inventé en 8 à 10 phrases au prétérit. Respectez ce plan :

  1. Le décor : when, where, who.
  2. Trois étapes avec First, Then, After that.
  3. Un moment fort avec Suddenly.
  4. Deux émotions (I was… / I felt…).
  5. Une conclusion (In the end… / I’ll never forget…).
