Exercice 1 : Associer les mots

Associe chaque mot anglais à sa traduction : gaspiller, une éolienne, les déchets, une espèce menacée, économiser l’énergie, un panneau solaire, protéger, le réchauffement climatique.

Exercice 2 : Compléter avec le bon mot

Complète avec : bin, recycle, plastic, rubbish, turn off, reusable, litter, pollution.

  4. I always carry a ___ bottle.

Exercice 3 : Bon ou mauvais pour la planète ?

Écris good ou bad pour chaque geste.

  1. taking a shower instead of a bath

  4. throwing batteries in the normal bin
  5. cycling to school
  6. using a new plastic bag every day
Exercice 4 : Donner des conseils

Donne un conseil avec should ou shouldn’t et le verbe entre parenthèses.

  1. Tom leaves the tap running when he brushes his teeth. (turn off)
  2. Lucy goes to school by car, but she lives very close. (walk)
  3. Sam throws his bottles in the normal bin. (recycle)
  4. Mia buys a new phone every year. (buy)
  5. Ben’s lunch is always wrapped in plastic. (use)
  6. Emma prints all her homework. (print)
Exercice 5 : Le règlement du parc

Lis ce panneau à l’entrée d’un parc national, puis réponds en français.

WELCOME TO GREEN VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Visitors must stay on the paths.

You mustn’t feed the animals.

You mustn’t light fires.

Dogs must be kept on a lead.

You don’t have to pay: entrance is free.

You should bring water and a map.

  1. Où doivent marcher les visiteurs ?
  2. Que n’a-t-on pas le droit de faire avec les animaux ?
  3. Quelle autre interdiction est indiquée ?
  4. Quelle règle concerne les chiens ?
  5. Faut-il payer l’entrée ? Justifie avec une phrase du panneau.
  6. Quel conseil le panneau donne-t-il ?
Exercice 6 : mustn’t ou don’t have to ?

Complète avec mustn’t ou don’t / doesn’t have to.

  1. You ___ throw rubbish in the river. It’s forbidden.
  2. It’s Sunday, so we ___ get up early.
  3. You ___ touch the coral: it’s very fragile.
  4. She ___ take the bus: she can walk.
  5. Visitors ___ pick the flowers in the park.

Exercice 7 : Transformer les phrases

Mets chaque phrase à la forme indiquée.

  1. We should leave the lights on. (négative)
  2. You must recycle your cans. (interrogative)
  3. They have to sort their waste. (négative)
  4. She has to walk to school. (interrogative)
  5. We should use solar panels. (interrogative)
  6. You don’t have to wear a uniform. (affirmative)
Exercice 8 : Traduire en anglais
  1. Il faut protéger la planète.
  2. Tu devrais éteindre ton ordinateur.
  3. Il est interdit de jeter des déchets ici.
  4. Notre collège a des panneaux solaires.
  5. Le pétrole s’épuisera un jour.
  6. Tu n’es pas obligé d’acheter une nouvelle trousse.
Exercice 9 : Traduire en français
  1. Yellowstone was the first national park in the world.
  2. Many endangered species live in the Great Barrier Reef.
  3. We have to sort our rubbish at home.
  4. Wind turbines produce clean energy.
  5. You shouldn’t leave your charger plugged in.
  6. This shop sells environmentally friendly products.

Exercice 11 : Lire un article

Lis l’article puis réponds aux questions en anglais.

A GREEN SCHOOL IN WALES

Oakfield School, a small school in Wales, has become one of the greenest schools in Britain. Two years ago, the pupils asked the head teacher to install solar panels. Now the panels produce half of the school’s electricity. The pupils have also built a vegetable garden, and they use the vegetables in the canteen. Every Friday, a team of volunteers picks up litter around the school. « We mustn’t waste anything, » says Megan, 13. « We reuse paper, we compost food waste and we recycle everything else. »

  1. Where is Oakfield School?

Exercice 12 : Corriger les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur. Réécris-la correctement.

Exercice 13 : Les règles d’un collège écologique

Ton collège veut devenir un eco-school. Écris cinq règles ou conseils en anglais, en utilisant au moins une fois must, mustn’t, should et have to.

  1. Une règle sur les déchets.
  2. Une règle sur l’électricité.
  3. Une interdiction.
  4. Un conseil pour venir au collège.
  5. Un conseil sur la cantine.
